The Security Service of Ukraine has uncovered a company in Dnipropetrovsk that assists the Russian Federation in constructing laboratories where the enemy develops nuclear weapons.

The SBU reported via Telegram on Saturday that, according to the investigation, the owner of a Ukrainian construction materials manufacturing company is involved in the organization of the deal.

It has been established that after the onset of the full-scale war, representatives of the factory shipped a large batch of finished stainless steel profiles to Russia.

The occupiers used Ukrainian metal products to equip the office spaces of the Russian Institute of Nuclear Research.

On this basis, the Russians are developing projects for new types of missile weaponry with nuclear warheads.

To conceal international shipments, the dealers initially sent the goods to a controlled company in the Middle East, from where they re-exported them to Russian clients.

According to the investigation, the chief accountant of the Ukrainian company maintained the financial records of both firms.

During searches at the company's addresses and in the premises of the suspects, mobile phones, computer equipment, and documentation with evidence of criminal activities in favor of the Russian Federation were discovered.

SBU investigators have informed the owner of the manufacturing company and three of his subordinates of suspicion under part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding the aggressor state).

The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being resolved. The perpetrators face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Comprehensive measures were conducted under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
