Severe weather has left 73 settlements without electricity in four regions - Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kyiv, and Chernihiv, reported NEC "Ukrenergo."
"Energy workers are continuing restoration efforts on the lines, but adverse weather conditions are expected to persist for the next 24 hours," the company announced on Telegram on Monday.
Overall, there is a trend of increasing electricity consumption in the energy system - as of Monday morning, the level was 8.5% higher than on the previous working day, Friday, November 1.
The NEC attributes this significant change in consumption to a noticeable drop in air temperature across all regions of Ukraine.
The system operator urges residents to refrain from using high-power electrical appliances during the evening hours from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
