The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sybiga, visited the Sumy region, where he met with the soldiers of the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade.

“Christ is born! Let us glorify Him!” It was a great honor and joy for me to hear this from our heroes, the soldiers of the separate mechanized brigade,” wrote Sybiga on Facebook.

He noted that under the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding the patronage of state institutions over combat units, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine systematically supports the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade and the United Assault Brigade of the National Police “Lut.”

“Today, I came to visit the soldiers not empty-handed. I delivered 80 Motorola tactical radios and 10,000 chemical warmers, purchased with funds raised by the Association of Spouses of Ukrainian Diplomats at the Charity Fair. We have taken the list of current needs into account. Some of them were addressed immediately on-site via phone,” the head of the ministry stated.

During the trip, Sybiga also visited the city of Sumy and held a meeting with the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration - the head of the regional military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh, and his team.

“Since September, when I first visited the region as a minister, we have begun implementing a number of humanitarian projects to support the residents of Sumy with the involvement of international donors and partners,” the minister pointed out.

Additionally, today, four units of special equipment were transferred to the State Emergency Service of the Sumy region, received from the Embassy of Ukraine in Austria, along with an excavator from the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

“The Christmas meeting with the children at the Sumy Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children was also very warm,” Sybiga added.
