The Ukraine-NATO Council discussed issues regarding further support for Ukraine and the ongoing efforts aimed at bringing Ukraine closer to the Alliance.
According to a report from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization headquarters on Wednesday, the meeting was chaired by NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Šekerinska, with the participation of Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna.
In particular, Šekerinska highlighted the current efforts to strengthen ties between Ukraine and NATO, including the NATO Support and Training Command for Ukraine (NSATU) in Wiesbaden, the Joint Analysis, Training, and Education Center (JATEC), and the Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP) for Ukraine.
"She noted that Alliance members are on track to fulfill their promise made at the Washington summit to provide €40 billion in security assistance and welcomed the increased investments by Alliance members in Ukraine's defense industry," the headquarters detailed.
Additionally, Stefanishyna met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
"The discussion with the Vice Prime Minister focused on the current situation on the battlefield, further NATO support for Ukraine, and the progress Ukraine continues to make in reforms," the press release stated.
