The court issued its first verdict under the new system for reaching agreements with the prosecution in corruption cases.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has issued a verdict against Alexander Rad'ko, the former director of West Pride LLC, under a new framework for reaching agreements with the prosecution in corruption cases, according to the Anti-Corruption Center.
Суд вынес первый приговор по новому порядку заключения соглашений со следствием в делах о коррупции.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has issued a verdict against the former director of LLC "West Bright," Alexander Rad'ko, under a new mechanism for concluding agreements with the investigation in corruption cases, reported the Anti-Corruption Action Center.

On Thursday, the Center indicated in its Telegram channel that Rad'ko struck a deal with the prosecutor, admitted his guilt, exposed one of the organizers, and transferred 10 million UAH in bail to the account of the "Come Back Alive" fund. In return, the convicted individual received a criminal record, a four-year suspended sentence with a three-year probation period, a ban on holding certain positions, and a fine.

NABU and SAP accuse Rad'ko of aiding in a scheme to seize real estate belonging to the state enterprise "National Film Archive of Ukraine," valued at nearly 42 million UAH. Rad'ko had been on the run since 2023 and was only extradited from Poland to Ukraine in September of this year.

The case involving the National Film Archive includes nine individuals, including former Deputy Minister of Culture Tamara Mazar.

"Earlier, four other suspects also reached deals with the investigation, provided incriminating testimony, and transferred over 43 million UAH to the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Anti-Corruption Action Center stated.

The materials collected by NABU and SAP enabled the cancellation of the auction for the sale of the "National Film Archive" property through the courts, and the real estate was returned to the state enterprise's ownership.

"This is currently the first striking example of how the improved mechanism for deals with the investigation in corruption cases can yield significant results. There will be more such examples when lawmakers restore the ability to confiscate the assets of corrupt individuals who cooperate with the investigation," noted the Anti-Corruption Action Center.
