Ukraine is working on the development of its own air defense system, stated the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"Back in the Soviet era, we essentially produced all the control systems for anti-aircraft complexes. This means we have the capacity and capability to create our own domestic air defense system, and work is underway," Syrskyi said in an interview with "TSN.Tyzhden".
When asked whether Ukraine could have its own equivalent of the Patriot missile system, he replied, “I hope that our system (Ukrainian complex - IF-U) will be at least as good as the Patriot in terms of its characteristics.”
