U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that constructive negotiations regarding Ukraine are underway, reports Voice of America.
Trump made this statement during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"We are talking to the Russians, we are talking to the Ukrainian leadership," Trump said in response to a journalist's question about a peace plan for Ukraine. However, he did not provide any details about his plan.
"We are having very good negotiations, and I think we will succeed. I believe something will happen, hopefully something significant," Trump was quoted by Voice of America.
The U.S. President also did not respond to a question about whether he would demand that the Russians leave Ukrainian territory.
