"On February 1 at 17:29, a report was received about a fire on Haret Jones Street. The fire occurred in one of the apartments on the second floor of the two-story building. The fire was extinguished at 17:52, covering an area of 15 square meters. During the firefighting efforts, emergency responders rescued five people, three of whom were children. Additionally, 15 individuals were led to safety," the statement on the Kyiv State Emergency Service's Facebook page reads.

It is noted that two children and a woman suspected of carbon monoxide poisoning sought medical attention.

The cause of the fire will be investigated by law enforcement authorities.
