In Lublin, Poland, a second group of volunteers has signed contracts for military service in the "Ukrainian Legion," reported the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

"Today, we welcomed more recruits into our units than we did in November. This reflects a growing trust among our citizens in this initiative. Motivated individuals who understand their choice are coming to us," noted Colonel Petro Horkusha, a representative of the unit's command.

According to reports, the recruitment center for the "Ukrainian Legion" has received approximately 1,300 applications for service.

Most of the new volunteers reside in Poland, but there are also Ukrainian citizens from Denmark, the Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, and other European countries. For the first time, women have joined the unit, choosing specialties related to medicine and communications.

"After signing their contracts, the group of volunteers headed to one of the training centers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland for BZIN training. The instruction will be conducted by Polish instructors using modern NATO weaponry," the Ministry of Defense stated.
