The law 4015-IX, which increases the military tax from 1.5% to 5% and includes several other amendments to the Tax Code, was published in the newspaper "Voice of Ukraine" on Thursday, November 28, reported MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak (faction "Voice").
"The tax law No. 11416d was published today. At least that’s what the website indicates. This means that it will come into effect on November 29. So we had one rate (1.5% military tax) for 28 days of the month, and it will be 5% for 2 days," Zheleznyak wrote on Telegram on Thursday evening.
He expressed regret that such short notice for the law’s implementation creates additional challenges for businesses: "How can they pay extra to those who have already received their salaries? Why was this necessary? Couldn't we have waited two more days? It should have been effective on November 30, so that it would come into force on December 1 and not disrupt the month," Zheleznyak wrote.
