The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, discussed with international leaders the next steps towards establishing peace.

"Peace is always a collective endeavor, especially the kind of peace we must pass on to future generations. I thank everyone for their support and for the sense of unity - a unity that is as crucial now as it was in '22. I am proud of our people, proud of everyone who fights, who helps, who believes - believes that evil should never triumph in wars," - said the president in an evening video address on Thursday.

The president noted that he coordinated positions and discussed further steps, particularly views on security guarantees, with French President Emmanuel Macron.

He also had conversations with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. "We appreciate that Mette and the people of Denmark understand what we are striving for," he said.

Zelensky mentioned discussing not only bilateral relations but also the future of Europe and energy security with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

With Finnish President Alexander Stubb, they exchanged views on the evolving situation. "There are some good, important proposals," Zelensky pointed out.

He also informed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about the current situation, and the sides discussed prospects, particularly within the G7.

Additionally, the Ukrainian leader spoke with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. "I am grateful for the support of our sovereignty and for the stance that the negotiation process should be inclusive," he noted.

In turn, Macron confirmed his fourth phone call with Zelensky on Thursday via his social media platform X. He wrote that they discussed Zelensky's upcoming visit to U.S. President Donald Trump next week.

Later, on social media X, Zelensky mentioned that he and Trudeau talked about continuing military support, energy cooperation, sanctions against the Russian shadow fleet and energy resources, as well as the use of frozen Russian assets.

According to him, Trudeau also informed him about a recent online meeting with European leaders. "We greatly appreciate Canada's G7 presidency this year and look forward to its leadership. A united position is our key to guaranteed peace," the president emphasized.

As reported, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will visit the U.S. next week, but separately, stated White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt.
